HABIT OF MIND: Thinking FlexiblyFrom the PrincipalDear McKenzie Families, It’s hard to believe we are at the half-way point of the school year! The days and weeks seem to have flown by. While our students have reached new milestones in their learning, there’s still so much more to learn and do! Second semester will be filled with new topics to explore, things to celebrate, and memories to cherish. I hope you will continue to take the time to be a part of the many happenings that take place at our school each day–and night–we truly are a ‘lighted schoolhouse’!! Speaking of happenings….special kudos to our Parent Learning Network and the McKenzie Staff for the wonderful Tech Night that was held this week. Over 100 parents and students joined in the fun of CONNECTED learning. For those of you who were unable to attend, be sure to check out the PLN link on the PTA website in the weeks to come, where you will find Tech Night pictures and resources posted. We also want to thank our staff and PTA for providing another Open Gym Night this past week–what a great way to shake off the winter blues!
