Grocery Dollars are the McKenzie PTA’s 2nd largest fundraiser and the easiest way to give to the school at no cost to you. For every $100 you spend at your local grocery store, the McKenzie PTA receives up to $5!
WHAT ARE THEY? Grocery Dollars are gift cards that you purchase and use “like cash” at the grocery store – Dominick’s, Jewel/Osco, Fresh Market, Whole Foods or Treasure Island. McKenzie PTA Grocery Dollars are purchased at a 5% discount because of the combined purchasing power of our subscriptions. You receive exactly what you pay, but the school receives the difference in profit – it is a win/win for all!
(For example, if you give us a $100 check, we give you $100 back in grocery certificates, but we’ve only paid $95 for them – the PTA keeps that profit.)
WHY SUBSCRIBE? The profits generated are used by the McKenzie PTA towards our curriculum based enrichment programs such as field trips and fine arts, for teacher stipends, and other PTA sponsored items and events. Grocery dollars have helped purchase smart boards, new playground equipment, gym mats, and more. Your subscription works directly to enhance your child’s educational experience.
How do you purchase GROCERY DOLLARS?
- Become a monthly subscriber or
- Call Tip directly to pick up Dollars at her home or
- Buy them at our monthly PTA meetings.
Subscribe monthly to Grocery Dollars, and we will deliver them to you during the last week of every month for the entire year. Here is the simple process:
- Decide which method you’d like to use to purchase your Grocery Dollars:
- By check: We invoice you every month; then you mail your payment to Tip by the 10th of the month (make checks payable to McKenzie PTA); then we deliver your Grocery Dollars to you before the end of that month. (school profit = 5%)
- By credit card**: VISA, Mastercard or Discover. We automatically charge your card on the 10th of the month; then we deliver your Grocery Dollars to you by the end of that month.
(school profit on Discover = 3%; school profit on VISA or Mastercard= 2.5%) - Fill out and return this order form to:
