As an introduction to their Force and Motion science unit, the students enjoyed learning about Newton’s Laws in a variety of hands-on activities through the High Tech/High Touch program. Thank you iGNITE!
The third graders were so fortunate to learn about our new Social Studies unit, Immigration through Story and Song. During this performance, the students were invited to travel with a 12-year old Irish immigrant on her journey to America. The students learned about Ellis Island and the many challenges immigrants faced.
The third graders really enjoyed the flamenco show from Ensemble Español.
There were three types of dances; classical, folkloric and Sevilliana. The students also learned how to make their own flamenco music by clapping and with castanets. The students were blown away by how talented all the dancers were! ¡Olé!
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders enjoyed meeting and learning from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Historical Perspective’s program on January 29th.
Supporting the 3rd grade Social Studies curriculum focusing on Exploration, the 3rd graders were so fortunate to learn from a real Polar Explorer!
