Learn more about the McKenzie Gardens & Outdoor Classroom.
McKenzie Gardens and Outdoor Classroom
Outdoor Classroom is a time when McKenzie students can enjoy the gardens during recess time on Mondays and Fridays in the fall and spring. Parent volunteers help and supervise the children as they explore, create, and observe nature in the garden area.
McKenzie Gardens
Outdoor Classroom is a time when the McKenzie Gardens are open to the students during lunch/recess times. It’s a fun opportunity for parents to interact with the kids as they explore the gardens, dig in the dirt, help with weeding/watering and create an art project.
McKenzie Gardens History
Created in 2001, the McKenzie Garden has developed into an amazing resource as a result of the hard work and dedication of McKenzie parents and teachers.
