The PTA is again this year organizing the SHARE THE WARMTH coat drive. We are asking McKenzie families to donate gently used or new coats that will then be distributed to students in need at our sister school, Carman-Buckner Elementary School in Waukegan. Are goal is to collect 200 coats (sizes 4T to 16). We would also love donations of kids’ hats, scarves, gloves and snow pants. Please send donations with your child during the week of October 14th (10/14 – 10/18). Also, we ask that you please wash any used clothing that you are donating. Thank you in advance for helping to SHARE THE WARMTH this year.
Please Save the Date for District 39 Educational Foundation’s 6th Annual Attire to Inspire Fashion Show. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, at Westmoreland Country Club from 7 to 9:30 pm. Eight boutiques will feature the latest in fashion and home goods. Complimentary wine from 7 to 7:45 pm, shopping, mingling, and fashion show to follow. Proceeds benefit the Gripp Grant Program.
