Meet the Directors & Producers

Jean Robinson - CO-DIRECTOR

This is Jean’s 4th Variety Show.  To her amazement, she drank the kool-aid and was hooked! She loves making costumes and acting the fool. When not using her hot glue gun, she is the proud mom of Sean (5th grade at HMS) and Jenna (3rd grade at McK!). She would like to thank her husband, Craig for all his support during VS march madness. In a past life, she worked in marketing, was fire and a pigeon, and was younger :)

Lauren Coady - CO-DIRECTOR

This is Lauren’s fourth Variety Show.  She’s been a firefly, a cockroach, a crazed red car, a green shoe, and a shiny biker while on stage, and off stage is a proud mother to Tiernan (5th grade) and Cara (2nd grade).  She thanks her husband, Damien, for holding down the fort while she escapes to fantasyland during the Variety Show season.  In a past life, Lauren graduated from the University of Michigan and worked in market research and consumer research, but these days you’ll find her herding a cheetah and a hawk and occasionally searching with them for leprechauns in the Emerald Isle.

Julieta Lamalfa - CO-PRODUCER

This is Julieta’s 6th Variety Show, after claiming that performing was not a core competency or on her wish list. Today, the magic of the VS is something she would not miss. She is the proud mom of Gio (Sixth grade, at Highcrest) and Nico (Third grade, at McK!). She has been married to Steve for over a decade. By day, she is the CFO of a start-up and spends time volunteering for multiple under-resourced and underrepresented communities. She loves to dance, eat, laugh, and spend time with family and friends.

Lora Amigo - CO-PRODUCER

This is Lora’s 4th Variety Show. Her neighbors insisted she join on her first year at McKenzie and has been a believer ever since. She loves dancing on stage and seeing the kids excitement. This year she will attempt to learn the ropes from producer extraordinaire Julieta. She is the proud mom of Sofia (3rd grade) and Luisa (Kindergarten) and could not do this without Mauricio’s (her husband) support. When not on stage or chauffeuring kids around, you can find her at a coffee shop working on multiple web & graphic design projects.
