Join the Highcrest PTO for the 2025–2026 School Year!

Hello 5th grade families!

As we look ahead to the next school year, the Highcrest Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is seeking fun and dedicated committee members for the 2025–2026 academic year. Volunteers are the backbone of our programs and events at Highcrest Middle School. We have several key roles that need your support:

Available Board/Committee Roles

After School Clubs Liaison

Work with the school to plan the after school clubs and create the Sign-Up Genius (SUG) for students to participate. There are currently 4 clubs: Skyline, Chess, Debate, and Math. Without a liaison, we will not be able to support these programs next year.

President Elect

This is a two-year commitment, moving into the president spot for the 2026-2027 school year. It's a great opportunity to lead and shape the future of our PTO. As president elect, you will be working beside the president for the 2025-2026 school year.

Yearbook

Collaborate with an HMS teacher to submit and order the yearbook.

Hawk Hut

Plan and coordinate the Hawk Hut store, typically done in the cafeteria during lunch hours. It's a fun way to engage with students and manage school spirit merchandise.

Enrichment - 6th Grade Representative

Coordinate enrichment activities specifically designed for 6th graders with the help of the teachers.

Freaky Friday/Beach Bash Chair

Help organize the biggest events for our 5th and 6th graders at Highcrest. Freaky Friday is held in the Fall and Beach Bash in the Spring. It's a chance to create unforgettable experiences for our students.

Variety Show (Chair)

Help organize and run the Variety Show, showcasing all student talent. Celebrate our students' creativity and skills in a fun show done in the Spring.

Membership Toolkit

Act as webmaster, updating monthly information and setting up any stores for programs/events.

Directory/Membership

Work behind the scenes to organize the PTO memberships and directory.
